Sea Familia 2, a Komodo phinisi: 36 metres, six cabins, up to 14 guests

Sea Familia 2 is 36.35 m long and 7.5 m wide, a wooden phinisi built in 2018. A Mitsubishi S 6b/3d engine gives her 6 to 9 knots, and two tenders with 100 hp outboards run guests ashore.

Indoors there's an air-conditioned lounge with sofas and tables and a dining area, and the jacuzzi is out on deck. The two Master cabins are on the main deck, with the Deluxe and Family cabins below.

Sea Familia 1 has 6 cabins and takes up to 12 guests, 13 with the extra bed in Manta Cabin I. Sea Familia 2 has 6 cabins and takes up to 14 guests.

Each of the two Master cabins has a double bed and an extra bed, so it sleeps 2 to 3. Add an ocean view, a balcony, an outdoor bathtub and a private bathroom. No other cabin has a balcony.

The three Deluxe cabins are on the lower deck, with two single beds and a private bathroom, for 2 guests each. The Family cabin, also on the lower deck, has a queen bed and a bunk, for 2 to 4.

Two families of four? One takes the Family cabin, the other two Deluxe cabins, and the Master cabins are left for grandparents or a third couple. Every cabin has air conditioning.

In the Master bathroom there's a walk-in shower and a vanity fronted in rattan. The wheelhouse has a white helm wheel, brass gauges and navigation screens. The tenders are two small white boats tied up alongside.

Sea Familia 2 is one of the boats KEXI guests book most often.

These are whole-boat rates. For 2 days and 1 night it's IDR 57,200,000 (≈ USD 3,509) for 1 to 10 guests, and for 3 days and 2 nights IDR 114,400,000 (≈ USD 7,018). A 4 days and 3 nights charter is IDR 171,600,000 (≈ USD 10,528), and 5 days and 4 nights is IDR 228,800,000 (≈ USD 14,037).

Eleven or twelve guests take you into the next band, for instance IDR 128,700,000 (≈ USD 7,896) for 3 days and 2 nights, and 13 or 14 into the last, IDR 137,300,000 (≈ USD 8,423). Rates shown are the 2026 rates.

Open-trip seats run from IDR 8,000,000 (≈ USD 491) in the Family cabin to IDR 12,500,000 (≈ USD 767) in a Master cabin, 3 days and 2 nights, per person.

Included: harbour transfer, the whole boat on a private charter, and breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also air-conditioned cabins with private bathrooms, mineral water, coffee and tea, life jackets and basic first aid. On Sea Familia 1 you also get an afternoon snack, juices and a snorkelling set. Paid by you: flights and airport tax, hotel, park entrance fees, the national park drone usage fee, insurance, alcohol, crew gratuities, the fuel surcharge and tax. On request, quoted separately: guide and documentation on a private charter, decoration, special dinner.

Sea Familia 2 takes a party of up to 14: 2 in each Master cabin, 2 in each Deluxe and up to 4 in the Family cabin, with its queen bed and bunk. That makes 14, the most she carries. The extra bed in a Master suits a smaller party that wants a third person in that cabin. The cabin plan is confirmed in your written quote.

Choose her if you want a balcony cabin, if you're 13 or 14, or if you'd like an indoor lounge to retreat to. She's the wrong boat if you want a listed route, or a diving trip. This is a snorkel boat. Diving can be arranged with a separate dive operator on request.

On price, note two things. The eleventh guest tips the boat into the next band, and fourteen is the published maximum, with no private extra-person price beyond it.
