Booking terms for Sea Familia

The Sea Familia booking terms in short: a 50 percent deposit and the balance 30 days before sailing. Cancel 60 days or more ahead and 50 percent is refunded; at 30 to 59 days, 25 percent. If the booked Sea Familia cannot sail, we arrange a replacement boat of the same class or refund you in full.
Who holds your booking, and under which law
Sea Familia 1 and Sea Familia 2 belong to their owner, who runs the boats. PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363) is the booking partner: we sell the trips, answer your questions and are responsible for your booking.
Indonesian law governs these terms, and a dispute goes to the Indonesian courts.
Sea Familia 1 and Sea Familia 2 are run by their owner. This site describes them mainly from the owner's brochures and price lists. It is not the owner's website. The booking, the quote and the payment are with us, and our company number is on every invoice.
How the price is built
A private charter is priced per boat by party size, not per person. Sea Familia 1 and Sea Familia 2 each publish their own rate lists, and an open-trip seat is priced per person by cabin.
Rates shown are the 2026 rates. Private charters on Sea Familia 1 for other lengths than 3 days and 2 nights are priced on request and confirmed in writing.
On a private charter the guide and the photo and video documentation are not included; both are available on request and quoted separately. Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare.
A fuel surcharge applies while marine fuel prices are high; it is paid separately and the current amount is confirmed in your written quote. Prices exclude 1.1% tax.
Money in, money back
A 50 percent deposit confirms the booking. The balance is due 30 days before sailing. Both amounts, and the payment methods, are in your written quote.
Cancel 60 days or more before sailing and 50 percent is refunded. At 30 to 59 days, 25 percent. Under 30 days, nothing. A change of date 14 to 29 days before sailing carries a fee of IDR 500,000.
If we cancel or the booked boat cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, the replacement-boat sentence below applies. Payment methods: card payment link, bank transfer (IDR), Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS, Alipay or WeChat Pay (through a payment partner); PayPal adds 7.2 percent.

If we cancel, you are refunded 100 percent · Refunds are paid within 14 days.
When the sea or the harbour changes the plan
If the booked Sea Familia cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a replacement boat of the same class, or refund you in full within 14 days.
The harbour master can close sailings for weather or wind at a day's notice. Stops and their order can change with traffic, weather and tides; the captain decides on the day. Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.
The route of Sea Familia 1 is set. The Komodo route on Sea Familia 2 is agreed with you in writing before you pay; the captain sets the order by conditions. A change of order is not a change of booking, and it does not reopen the price.
Children, insurance and conduct on board
Children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian; from 3 the full fare applies.
Travel insurance with cancellation and medical cover is strongly recommended, and it is paid by you.
Conduct that endangers the boat, the crew or the park ends the charter without a refund. We ask every guest to keep to the ranger's rules in Komodo National Park and to leave the reef and its animals untouched. The crew can stop a snorkel or a walk at any moment for safety, and the captain's word is final on the water.

Who do I pay?
You pay PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, the booking partner for Sea Familia 1 and Sea Familia 2, by card payment link, bank transfer (IDR), Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS, Alipay or WeChat Pay (through a payment partner). The payee and the amounts are in your written quote. Do not pay a personal account without a written invoice.
What happens to the deposit if we cancel?
It follows the cancellation scale: 50 percent back at 60 days or more before sailing, 25 percent at 30 to 59 days, nothing under 30 days. If the booked boat cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, a replacement boat or a full refund replaces the scale.
