One price for the boat, then split by the number of cabins you fill
A private charter is priced per boat by party size, not per person. Sea Familia 1 has two bands for 3 days and 2 nights: 1 to 8 guests, and 9 to 12. Sea Familia 2 has three: 1 to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 14. Sea Familia 2 is priced for every length from 2 days and 1 night to 5 days and 4 nights; Sea Familia 1 for 3 days and 2 nights.

Private charters on Sea Familia 1 for other lengths than 3 days and 2 nights are priced on request and confirmed in writing.

Paid by you: flights and airport tax, hotel, park entrance fees, the national park drone usage fee, insurance, alcohol, crew gratuities, the fuel surcharge and tax. On request, quoted separately: guide and documentation on a private charter, decoration, special dinner.
On a private charter the guide and the photo and video documentation are not included; both are available on request and quoted separately. Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare.
A fuel surcharge applies while marine fuel prices are high; it is paid separately and the current amount is confirmed in your written quote. Prices exclude 1.1% tax.

A deposit now, the rest later, and what a change costs
A 50 percent deposit confirms the booking, and the balance is due 30 days before sailing. Cancel 60 days or more ahead and 50 percent comes back; at 30 to 59 days it is 25 percent; closer than that, nothing. A date change 14 to 29 days before sailing carries a fee of IDR 500,000.
You can pay by card payment link, bank transfer (IDR), Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS, Alipay or WeChat Pay (through a payment partner); PayPal adds 7.2 percent. Your written quote lists the methods and the amounts.
It works the same way for 2 guests or 14. Nothing is booked until you've confirmed the written quote and the deposit has arrived, and you'll have seen every figure before you pay.

A replacement boat of the same class, or your money back
If the booked Sea Familia cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a replacement boat of the same class, or refund you in full within 14 days.
Weather is a different matter: a rough day changes the route, not the booking. Stops and their order can change with traffic, weather and tides; the captain decides on the day.
The harbour master can close sailings at a day's notice, mostly in the wet season and in spells of strong south-east wind. Read the rebooking and refund terms in your quote before you pay.

Choosing the route and the day
Private charters take any free date, confirmed in writing. Tell us the days you have and who's coming, and we'll send the cabin plan with the quote.
Sea Familia 1 has a set route for 3 days and 2 nights, which you can read on the route page. The Komodo route on Sea Familia 2 is agreed with you in writing before you pay; the captain sets the order by conditions.
Skipper's tip name the stop that matters most to you in your first message, Manta Point say, so the day can be planned around the tides. That's a plan, not a promise.
Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.
FAQ
Which boat should four adults choose?
Either boat takes four with room to spare. Four adults pay the first band on either boat for 3 days and 2 nights: IDR 97,100,000 (≈ USD 5,957) on Sea Familia 1 or IDR 114,400,000 (≈ USD 7,018) on Sea Familia 2, whole boat. Sea Familia 1 is the lower rate; Sea Familia 2 has the Master cabins with a balcony and an outdoor bathtub.
Can we add a person after we booked?
Within the cabins and the band, yes, and we confirm it in writing. Sea Familia 1 stops at 12 guests, and a 13th on the extra bed in Manta Cabin I is priced in your written quote. Sea Familia 2 stops at 14.
Is the price the same whichever month we sail?
It is: the 2026 rates don't change from month to month. The fuel surcharge and tax are confirmed in your written quote. Rates shown are the 2026 rates. 2027 open-trip dates are on the calendar; 2027 rates are on request, sent in writing before you pay a deposit.
Do we choose the route ourselves?
You tell us what matters, and the captain sets the order on the day. On Sea Familia 1 the listed route is the starting point; on Sea Familia 2 the stops are agreed with you in writing before you pay.
Can children be counted differently?
Children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian; from 3 the full fare applies. Sea Familia 1 and Sea Familia 2 price the boat by party size, so confirm in writing how a free child is listed on your quote.
What if our party is 9 or 11?
On Sea Familia 1, 9 guests move into the 9 to 12 band: IDR 102,700,000 (≈ USD 6,301) for 3 days and 2 nights. On Sea Familia 2, 9 guests still pay the 1 to 10 band, and the eleventh guest moves the boat up a band.
Do all guests get breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are in the fare for every guest, with mineral water, coffee and tea. Sea Familia 1 adds an afternoon snack and juices. Alcohol is paid by you.
