Ticket, ranger and what sits outside both

Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. They are bought per person, and the sum is on your quote as its own line.

Under PP 36/2024, entry is IDR 250,000 per person per day for international visitors. Indonesian visitors pay IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays.

Snorkelling is covered by the entry ticket (the rules note sets out the in-water rules). Ranger levies and other small park charges are separate, can change, and are paid by you. A drone needs the national park drone usage fee as well, and a permit.

Komodo National Park fees (paid separately)
International visitorsIDR 250,000 per person per day
Indonesian visitorsIDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays

Paid separately from the fare, online; ranger and pier levies are extra and can change. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.

A family of four, worked out

Take two adults and two children from abroad. Each of the four is a ticket, so you multiply the entry fee by four for each day you are in the park. The table below does the sum for four, for six and for your own number.

Count the days from the stops, not from the nights. How many entry days your route needs depends on the stops agreed in writing, and the quote shows the number it used.

Indonesian guests pay the lower rate, with a weekday and a weekend figure. Tell us who holds which passport, and we price each ticket on your quote.

Children and the ticket

We confirm in writing, before you pay, what applies to your child's age on the park ticket.

The boat fare has its own rule, separate from the park. Children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian; from 3 the full fare applies.

So a three-year-old can travel at one price on the boat and be a ticket at another. Both are set out line by line in the quote.

When the park changes the rules

The park authority controls access, and the harbour master controls sailings. A daily visitor cap applies at Padar, Rinca and Komodo in time sessions, and the figure has been revised more than once. Your boat company checks the current cap when it registers you.

Komodo and Padar have closed for waves and wind in recent seasons while Rinca stayed open. Closures come at a day's notice, mostly in the wet season and in spells of strong south-east wind.

Tickets are bought online through the park's own system, with no cash at the gate. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and we do it for you. Confirm the amounts before you sail, because they follow the regulation of the day.

FAQ

Do babies pay?

The park sets its own ticket rules for babies, and we confirm them for your dates. The boat fare is separate: children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian. Ask us for your child's age and we confirm the ticket in writing.

Is the ticket paid before or on the day?

Before. Tickets are bought online through the park's own system, which takes no cash at the gate. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and we do it for you from the guest list.

Do Indonesian guests pay less?

Yes. Indonesian visitors pay IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays, against IDR 250,000 for international visitors, per person per day.

Is a ranger fee extra?

Yes. A ranger walks with every group on Komodo, and ranger levies are separate from the entry ticket, can change and are paid by you. Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare.
