How to choose a cabin on a six-cabin boat

The decks and beds are fixed. Sea Familia 1 has Manta cabins on the main deck and Turtle cabins on the upper deck. Sea Familia 2 has Master cabins on the main deck, and Deluxe and Family cabins below. Choose by bed type, by deck and by who needs what.
Decks and doors
Sea Familia 1 has Manta Cabins I to IV on the main deck and Turtle Cabins I and II on the upper deck. Sea Familia 2 has two Master cabins on the main deck, and three Deluxe cabins and the Family cabin on the lower deck. Every cabin on both boats has air conditioning and a private bathroom.
The table below shows beds and sleeping numbers for every cabin. Read it with your party in mind, not the boat: who needs a bed of their own, who can share, and who sleeps late.

Bed types decide more than the deck
Sea Familia 1 gives every cabin a queen-size bed, and Manta Cabin I adds an extra bed for a third guest. Sea Familia 2 mixes its beds. Each Master cabin has a double bed plus an extra bed, each Deluxe cabin has two single beds, and the Family cabin has a queen bed plus a bunk.
That makes the choice simple. Couples want a double or a queen. Two friends who do not share a bed want the Deluxe singles. A family with a young child wants the Family cabin on Sea Familia 2 or Manta Cabin I on Sea Familia 1. Bed sizes beyond those names are confirmed in writing on request.
Choose by bed type first and deck second. A cabin on the right deck with the wrong bed gives a poor night.
A light sleeper, a child, a grandparent
A light sleeper should ask us in writing about noise. A child sleeps best in a cabin with an adult and the right bed, so give a young child the Family cabin or Manta Cabin I. A grandparent does well on the main deck: Manta on Sea Familia 1, Master on Sea Familia 2.
If a parent wants the children in the next cabin, ask us in writing before you pay.

If someone gets seasick
Bring your own medicine and take it as your doctor advises. Tell the crew on the first morning. Fresh air on deck and a look at the horizon help most people.
Sea state changes by month: January and February are rough, April to June and October to November are calm, and July and August are windy. The month guide lays it out. Choose your month with that in mind, and the cabin matters less.
Tell the crew early, because the captain should know. The captain decides the route on the day from traffic, weather and tides.

Is the lower deck rougher?
Both boats move with the sea, deck by deck. We can tell you which cabins are on which deck: Manta on the main deck and Turtle on the upper deck of Sea Familia 1, Master on the main deck and Deluxe and Family below on Sea Familia 2. Ask the crew about the day's sea.
Which cabin has the largest bed?
Sea Familia 1 has queen-size beds, and Sea Familia 2 has a double, two singles or a queen with a bunk. Bed dimensions are confirmed in writing on request, so ask before you pay if it matters to your party.
Can I swap cabins after the first night?
On a private charter every cabin is yours, so a swap is a conversation within your party. If a cabin does not suit, tell the crew in the morning. Our quote lists the cabin plan you booked, and changes inside the same boat are not a new booking.
Do cabins have a window?
The photos show windows in the Manta and Turtle cabins on Sea Familia 1, with large portholes in Turtle, and sea-view windows in the Master cabin on Sea Familia 2. Photos of the Deluxe and Family cabins are on request.
