Four guests pay IDR 97,100,000 (≈ USD 5,957) for the whole of Sea Familia 1, which is IDR 24,280,000 (≈ USD 1,490) each. Sea Familia 2 costs IDR 28,600,000 (≈ USD 1,755) each. Both are for 3 days and 2 nights at 2026 rates. Two cabins are used and four stay empty.
Four people on a six-cabin boat: what the empty cabins mean
Four of you use two cabins and leave four empty. You pay for the band, not the cabins you use: on Sea Familia 1 one whole-boat rate covers 1 to 8 guests, and on Sea Familia 2 it covers 1 to 10.
That's what moves the per-person figure. On Sea Familia 1 two guests pay IDR 48,550,000 (≈ USD 2,979) each. Four pay IDR 24,280,000 (≈ USD 1,490), six pay IDR 16,180,000 (≈ USD 993) and eight pay IDR 12,140,000 (≈ USD 745). The boat costs the same throughout; only the number of people splitting it changes.
Sea Familia 2 charges IDR 28,600,000 (≈ USD 1,755) per person at four. For two couples, six cabins is more room than you need, and every bit of it is yours for the whole trip. The alternative is an open trip, priced in the last section of this page.
Who sleeps where: the two best pairs of doors
On Sea Familia 2, each couple takes a Master cabin. Both are on the main deck, with a double bed plus an extra bed, an ocean view, a balcony and an outdoor bathtub. They're the reason to choose this boat for four.
Sea Familia 1 puts its two Turtle cabins on the upper deck, each with a queen-size bed, big portholes, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Manta Cabins II to IV on the main deck have the same bed and bathroom, for a couple who'd rather be a deck lower.

A three-day sample for two couples
This sample is put together from park timings and the listed Sea Familia 1 route. The captain sets the order on the day.
Day 1. Kelor's short hill, a snorkel at Manjarite, and dusk at Kalong, where the bats leave the mangroves about 15 minutes after sunset. You watch from the boat.
Day 2. Padar at first light if you want it, Pink Beach for the second snorkel, the Komodo walk with a ranger, and the drift at Manta Point in the afternoon.
Day 3. Kanawa, shallow and easy, then back to Labuan Bajo. On Sea Familia 2 the stops are agreed with you in writing before you pay.
Two seats each on a shared sailing
Two couples can also book cabins on an open trip of 3 days and 2 nights, with other guests aboard. Sea Familia 1 charges IDR 5,850,000 (≈ USD 359) per person in a Turtle cabin and IDR 6,850,000 (≈ USD 420) in a Manta cabin.
Sea Familia 2 charges IDR 12,500,000 (≈ USD 767) per person in a Master cabin. A Deluxe cabin costs IDR 10,000,000 (≈ USD 613) and the Family cabin IDR 8,000,000 (≈ USD 491). On an open trip the tour guide and the documentation are included.
For four, the seats come to less than the whole-boat rate, but you share the boat with other guests. The dates for both boats are on the open-trip sailings.

FAQ
Do two couples need the whole boat?
No. Two couples can take two cabins on an open trip and share the boat with other guests, at the per-person fares above. The whole boat costs more in total, but it's yours alone and you set the pace with the captain. It comes down to whether you want company on board.
Which Sea Familia 2 cabin has the bathtub?
The Master cabin. Sea Familia 2 has two of them on the main deck, each with a double bed, an extra bed, an ocean view, a balcony and an outdoor bathtub. The Deluxe and Family cabins are on the lower deck, with a private bathroom and air conditioning, and their photos are on request.
Is there a cabin with a private deck?
On Sea Familia 2, the Master cabins have a balcony. No cabin on Sea Familia 1 is listed with a private balcony, so the shared sundeck and the foredeck jacuzzi are its open-air spaces, and they are open to your party alone on a private charter.
Can we add a fifth friend?
Yes, and on a private charter the price doesn't change: Sea Familia 1 covers 1 to 8 guests in one band and Sea Familia 2 covers 1 to 10. A fifth guest takes the extra bed in Manta Cabin I or a cabin of their own. Cabins are confirmed in writing.
