Privacy

A booking needs the name of every guest and an ID number for the passenger list that the harbour requires. We also hold contact details for the person who books, dietary or medical notes that matter for safety on board, and the messages you send us.

We use this to answer you, to quote, to register guests with the park and the harbour, to take payment and to send confirmations. We do not sell personal data.

We write only to the number or the address that wrote to us.

When you write on WhatsApp, we receive your number, your profile name and your messages through the WhatsApp Business service of Meta Platforms. We use them to answer you and manage your booking. We apply no fixed retention period to conversation history, and we delete it when you ask.

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, through session replays and heatmaps. With your consent only, we share one-way hashed identifiers, such as an email or a phone number, with Google and Meta to measure advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time in the privacy banner, and it changes nothing about your service, availability or price.

Our team can use an AI service to help draft or route a reply to your message. A person is involved in every booking decision and in every price.

To run bookings we share limited data with service providers. They are payment companies such as Xendit and PayPal, an email sender for confirmations, Cloudflare for site delivery and security, and Google for an off-site backup. Some are outside Indonesia, including in the United States.

You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of what we hold about you. The law that applies is Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law, and for visitors from the EEA, the GDPR.

To ask for deletion, write to info@komodoexplorer.com with the subject "Data deletion request", or message us on WhatsApp from the same number. Deletion does not remove your own copy of a chat, or the copy that Meta holds under its own policies.
