One night, two mornings: a sample
This is a sample plan, not a route either boat lists. The stops for 2 days and 1 night are agreed with you in writing before you pay.
A sample day one: pickup in Labuan Bajo, boarding, lunch aboard, a short hill walk at Kelor and a first snorkel at Manjarite. Then Kalong at sunset, when the flying foxes leave the mangroves. Dinner is aboard.
A sample day two: breakfast, one long snorkel in shallow water, and the return to Labuan Bajo. The Komodo ranger walk or Manta Point fits only if the agreed plan and the tide allow it.
Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.

What to choose when you only have one night
With one night you choose by who is coming. For children and nervous swimmers, pick Pink Beach. The reef sits close to the sand, the water runs 1 to 8 m deep and the current is mild. A stop lasts 45 to 90 minutes.
For confident swimmers, pick Manta Point. It is a drift snorkel of 30 to 60 minutes over water 3 to 15 m deep, and the current is strong. The order of Manta Point and its neighbours swaps with the tide. Mantas, turtles and dolphins are often seen in season, never promised.
Padar is a ridge walk and not a beach. The climb to the main viewpoint takes 25 to 45 minutes. For sunrise, guests leave the boat about 65 minutes before it, so the ridge costs you an early start. Say in your first message if it is why you came.

Sea Familia 2 for 2 days and 1 night is IDR 57,200,000 (≈ USD 3,509) for 1 to 10 guests, IDR 64,350,000 (≈ USD 3,948) for 11 to 12 and IDR 68,650,000 (≈ USD 4,212) for 13 to 14. All are whole-boat rates for the boat, per boat.
For a party of four that is IDR 14,300,000 (≈ USD 877) each. Six guests pay IDR 9,530,000 (≈ USD 585) each, and the same band holds up to ten. Private charters on Sea Familia 1 for other lengths than 3 days and 2 nights are priced on request and confirmed in writing.
A short trip, or a full Komodo one
Two days hold less than they sound like. A Komodo ranger walk, a drift over Manta Point and one proper snorkel make a full second day, and the first day is for getting to the water.
Children and grandparents do better with the pace of 3 days and 2 nights. The ranger walk takes 45 to 120 minutes, and a ridge climb or a drift snorkel in the same morning is a lot for small legs and old knees.
If your dates allow, read the three-day route before you decide. If they do not, two days on the water is still two days on the water, with the stops chosen to suit your people.

Is two days too short for the Komodo walk and the mantas?
It can hold either one comfortably and both only on a tight day. The Komodo ranger walk takes 45 to 120 minutes and Manta Point is a 30 to 60 minute drift. Mantas are often seen in season and are never promised. Choose the stop you care about most.
Can children manage the 2-day plan?
Yes, if the plan is built around the shallow stops. Pink Beach is 1 to 8 m deep with a mild current. Keep the Padar climb and Manta Point for another trip or for the older children. Children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian; from 3 the full fare applies.
Does the 2-day price include park tickets?
Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. They are bought per person for the day, and the amounts are on the park fees page. The guide is not in a private fare either.
